What you need to know about a new lawn.
New lawns can be installed most of the time, but have an optimal installation window between march and September.
Your lawn is only as good as the soil and preparation it is applied to. Therefore there should be no weeds present prior to spraying hydroseed.
If the soil is rocky or infertile there should be a minimum of 1 to 2 inches of clean, screened toposoil applied and graded prior to lawn installation. Again weeds should be sprayed 2 weeks minimum prior and fully removed just before installation.
Equally important is the sprinkler system. It should have full coverage and be able to water the entire lawn area effectively at least twice a day.
Planter areas should be marked prior to application. If you don't have one we can discuss installing one.
Once your new lawn is applied it will take 2-3 weeks before you can mow and enjoy one of the variety of lawns we provide.
